Welcome back to The Lift Up, y’all, your daily dose of sunshine and soul food. Hopefully today’s newsletter can give you that dose of sunshine in the form of a break from all the other stressful headlines out there.

Cuz they bad, okay?!

The coming election, which - let’s be real - isn’t going to end well, no matter who wins.

Climate change in such full swing that it’s 122 in India, and people perishing on their way to Mecca, oh my goodness - did you see that?! More than 1300 people.

Did you know Mexico City is about to be FULLY OUT OF WATER any day now? Which means a lot of people already don’t have any water there and have to buy it and order it in my truck.

Did you know that the arctic - THE north pole - is set to not have any ice left in just 4 YEARS? I read all that just this morning.

I had to snap myself outta the doom scrolling to circle back to making the finishing touches on this post.

Phew, okay, breathe. Here we go with the sunshine and soulfood.

We are all still here, and if I take my head outta the doom scroll machine, I look around and still see a beautiful world around me. So I'mma stop and take in that moment. Smell the flowers if you will. Join me!
